Ogier first leader in Finland

The French driver Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen Polo R WRC) set the best time, ahead of the English Kris Meeke (Citroën DS3 WRC) and the Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen Polo R WRC), in the only stage of the first day of the rally of Finland.
Two-time world champion Ogier won with a time of 1: 48.6, riding six tenths faster than Kris Meeke (1: 49.2) and eight tenths faster than Mikkelsen (1: 49.4).
I’m happy to have ended up like this, it’s easy to be wrong here. I also admit that driving on dry ground is a small advantage. Tomorrow we have a long day ahead of us, it will be a tough test, “said Ogier as soon as he achieved the best time in the first stage.
The Spanish Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20 WRC) has placed ninth in the partial classification driving in 1: 51.6.
“The stage was very slippery. We did not want to take too many risks today because we still have a lot of tests ahead of us in this rally, “he declared shortly after finishing his test.
Rally Finland will return tomorrow with nine stages on the program. The first, of 14.51km, will start at 9.28 am. EFE
