The Spaniard Rafa Nadal and the Serbian Novak Djokovic played this Thursday in Milan a friendly meeting within the scope of the “Djokovic and friends” event, the proceeds of which will be donated to charity by the foundation of the current world number 1.
Djokovic created his personal foundation in 2007 to help Serbian children in need, and this year’s event, held at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan, drew more than 10,000 spectators.
Nole and Nadal gave a show in the two sets of a duel that the Serbian won with a double 6-4.
Several footballers from the two Milanese teams, Inter and Milan, also participated in the event, including the Colombian Carlos Bacca and the Montenegrin Stevan Jovetic.
The “Djokovic and friends” was organized in two days, Wednesday and Thursday, and yesterday’s duels featured, in addition to the Serbian, the American Serena Williams and the Italians Flavia Pennetta and Fabio Fognini. EFE
