Real Madrid announced the return of Italian physical trainer Antonio Pintus, who returns two years later to the White House as “responsible for the physical preparation methodology of all the club’s football teams” and replaces Grégory Dupont in the first team.
Pintus, known at Real Madrid City as ‘the sergeant’, takes charge of physical preparation after a season plagued by injuries that affected the team’s performance.
The Italian coach was signed for the first time by Real Madrid in 2016 at the request of Zinedine Zidane, integrating his coaching staff, although in 2019 the French coach decided to do without him in his second stage on the bench.
The reason was that Pintus was still at the club after his departure, so Zidane delegated physical training to Dupont, who has been the focus this season due to the continuous injuries suffered by Real Madrid.
On the first occasion Pintus arrived at the white house from Juventus, with Real Madrid he was an important part of the historic double with the League and ‘Champions’ in 2017.
