Mexican Ortiz retains minimum WBA title

Mexican Anabel Ortiz retained the World Boxing Association (WBA) minimumweight title today by defeating Japanese Etsuko Tada by split decision in a fight held in the Mexican city of Querétaro.
The cards of the judges of the fight granted scores of 96-93, 99-90 and 94-95 in favor of the Mexican champion who revalidated for the third time the minimum weight crown that she won in 2013 against her rival on this day.
Ortiz reached 16 victories in her professional career in exchange for three losses and the Japanese Tada suffered her second loss in exchange for thirteen victories and two canceled. EFE
